Photo of the Week..... or maybe of the past 4 years of my life.

Here it is. What may look like a mere piece of paper with slightly official looking seminary letterhead is my faculty recommendation for approval! MY FACULTY RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL!!! I have been waiting 4 years for this piece of paper. Now all I need is approval from my synod.

In other big milestones of the week, today I preached my senior sermon. I preached MY SENIOR SERMON! Ahh quite the week and now I am royally exhausted.

Now to finish a critical book review and a rough draft for my final paper for a class.

THANKS be to God for this piece of paper or rather what this piece of paper means.

Grace abounds and God calls all to ministry.

Thanks be to God.

mushroom

I found this mushroom (possibly mushrooms, I am no expert on mushrooms) on a path and for some reason the image has captured my mind. I wonder where I will be planted in a year. Will I too be able to thrive like this mushroom has done? Where will I be? How will I survive to the point of being able to put down roots a little bit and settle into a place? Hard to believe that graduation is 204 days away and the draft is almost 4 months from now to the day (4 months and 1 day, if one wants to be technical). Being a senior is a strange strange strange place to be in life. I am trying my darnedest to take it as a gift and to 'trust the Spirit' and all those catch phrases they throw around for us, but it is hard. I am ready to live in an apartment again, I am ready to know that I can settle into somewhere because it has a permanence of more than nine months before I am moving on, I am ready to have a kitchen and a refrigerator (I do technically have a fridge it is just dorm sized and hard to keep much in it due to its size and the lack of freezer does not help my ice cream longings), I long to be able to have a permanent address other than my parents house, and so many other things. Today is one of those days, thanks be to God who is meeting me in the midst of it.

PACKERS

This past weekend I got to go to my first Packers game! It was amazing. It is a culture in and of itself. Not to mention I got to spend time in Wisconsin in the fall, I LOVE fall weather. But truth be told I am ready for the snow to fall.

Octoberfest 10K

Over reading and research days here at school I got to go up to Fargo, ND to run with some WTS graduates! It was a fun race and I am hoping to run it again next year. I had a great road tripping buddy who made the trip go much much faster than I initially anticipated the trip to be. On our way back to the castle we did manage to see the weinermobile up close and personal!!!

Finally.

I finally got a couple photos taken. Here is one of the chapel in which I worship five days a week. It is the stained glass in the front of the chapel with the cross that also stands up front.

I love the image of Jesus sending out the disciples with the image of the cross in sight.

I do love editing photos and taking them. Now if only I had more time to do it.
Next weekend I want to take lots of photos and then be able to play with them later.
